I'm nearly ready to drop my rebuilt 302 back into my truck. I'm just looking for some suggestions on the best way to keep the motor level when lowering it into the engine mounts. I'm not using one of those motohats that bolts to the top of the intake.
Thanks for any suggestions in advance

I usually just git a big chain and depending on the size of the tree I'm hanging it around, I'll just slip the hook around the link that holds the motor in the position I want it. I'll attach the chain usually from the right rear head to the left front head - attach the hook about midways across; like over the carb (be careful --- the carb doesn't like cotter keys dropped into it!!....) .
That ought to get that booger in there....let us know how it goes...
what you need is a good strong buddy!Have you thought about buying an engine leveler. It hooks to the engine and is adjustable for whatever angle you need
