Tymar Intake

I have a '02 F-350 4x4 auto 7.3 I am just wounder how much a a decrease of EGT are people getting by putting in a cold air intake over the stock air box? I am looking at the "Tymar Intake" andjust woundering if peopl are seeing any sort of EGT decrease. Thanks for your help.

2002 F-350 4x4 Superduty Auto 7.3 Banks PowerPack Chip, Quick Turbo housing, Gauges, Wicked Wheel. K/N filter, 4" exhaust.

Their have been a few people on this site that ran tests that concluded that @ highway speeds their is only 5-10 deg difference over ambient. Actually they claim a open element filter will decrease egt's a little because the engine can suck more air. In reality the best reason for using the tymar is outstanding filtering capability's. No more worries about sucking dirt!

Thanks for your input. I'm just trying to get all the ifno I can before I got out and buy one. Also did you notice any differnce in MPG or Power? Thanks again.

To truly see a difference just an intake won't show much if at all. The exaust is the other half of this equation. Put them together and it really opens her up and lets her breath easier.
