Hi guys,
I am replacing the motor from my dead '92 f150 5.0L with a good 1980 302 that is good. It came to me with the frontcover and waterpump on it already. the waterpump is reported to be maybe a donor, so i was going to throw my almost new '92 pump on here. It seems that this one on the '80 has some differnent bolts on it. The outlets are in the same spots, but the '80 has 3 bolts going on the lower side of the shaft, that are not on the '92 waterpump. My question is, will this pump work with my serpentine belt or should i pull my front cover and throw my '92 cover and pump on this old block?
I am putting this '80 block in my '92 f150, with the serpentine belt, so i am afraid that the old pre-'80 pump might be made to turn the other way from what my '92 spins.
thanks guys. Hope someone can answer that for sure.
thanks
