First Time posting, I've seen the site a few times but just recently joined up. I'm getting ready to start restoring (Sorta) my 77 F-250 Long bed. Monday I'm going to the Paint store and getting some Dupont Imron to paint it. I'm gonna try for High Gloss black on the outside, and keeping the interrior the original Candy Apple Red (With a few touchups on the metal in places). Right now I have my Drivers side door off for sandblasting the botom of it and rust proofing it before the Bondo goes on. I'll post some picture before I paint it furing the preperation, and hopefully some while its beaing painted. I'm not an expert painter but I feel comfortable with my skills. So any ways, I just thought I would introduce myself to you guys, I think I'll probably be around quite a bit :-)
if you use imron wear a good mask, not a dust mask , but a good filter mask. that imron is sprayon plastic. good stuff, easy to work with, looks real good when you finish, and tough as nails.
Welcome aboard. Feel free to ask any questions that come up. Chances are good that somebody here has already been there and done that. Good luck with the restoration. Have fun.
