Front End Diff Rebuild...
I busted the spider gears out in the D44 probably about 4 or 5 years ago, and haven't used 4 wheel drive since. With the stock setup on this truck, I have honestly not found a reason to have to use it, unless I was doing some massive off-roading, where by replacing the 9" with a Detroit Locker, seemed to work good enough!
I have absolutely no idea when it comes to setting up F & R diff's! The 9" has been in there for about 5 years now, and it seems to work perfectly fine. But, when I have the D44 rebuilt, I would like for whoever does it to just simply check out the lash and the tracking on the 9", just to be sure, you know!
Any recommendations would be appreciated!
