Cat Back Exhaust Recommendations
Hello,
I am looking at a 2004 V10 and would like to purchase a Cat back exhaust and explore some other simple exhaust mods at the same time. I am familiar with Borla and Gibson. I had a 5.9 DOdge with a Gibson and borla tip which sounded great. I am not looking to make a lot of noise which would bother neighbors, but a deep sound would be good, especially during acceleration
I have looked at the board for about two weeks and have not found the answers I am looking for. Any recommendations on high flow cats would be helpful. I will be adding an intake at some point, but would like to modify the exhaust first.
Any suggestions relating to the V10 would be helpful and appreciated. I am looking to spend $400-$600.

Well I spent quite a bit of time last night going through all the old posts and trying to gain as much input on the V10 and exhaust modifications. I have listened to sound clips of different setups. I must agree the one Monsta had with the Flowmaster 40s was pretty good.
If I am correct this was a simple cut out the factory muffler and install the Flowmaster. I am going to get a price on this setup for the FM 40 and FM 50. I think it will be a good start. I hope the local shop will allow a test of both. I have hunch the FM40 will be a little loud, but the clip sounded great. I work various hours and don't need to wake people when I come home. Also with my job I need to set a reasonable example for not having an overbearing exaust.
I also looked at the Banks (received a clip via e-mail from a user here). It was not as deep a tone as I wanted. Thanks for all the input.
