Headlight Question...

Ok, I am not good with electrical stuff, so here goes...

I have an '86 Ford F150 with 4spd, and a 300 straight six.

When I turn on my headlights, they come on just fine. However, when I push the brights light footswitch, all my headlights go out.

What is could be causing this? Are the headlamps high beams blown out, or is it in the switch or?

Many Thanks,
RhainyC

I had the same problem with my 79 F 150 it turned out to be a junk switch.
Good luck

Thanks!

Thanks Folks! That is actually what I figured it was, even though the guy who gave me the truck tried to tell me it was the headlamps themselves and that the high beams were just burnt out. I figured the possibility of both high beams burning out at the same time pretty low.
