Lots of problems

I have a 90 F-150 sitting in front of my house that has a bunch of stuff going wrong with it and I am hoping that you guys can give me a hand. I won't burden everyone here by listing every little thing, but I will start with the biggest one. When I start the truck, the belt squeals (easy enough to fix) andthen it does one of two things, either it tries to die or the idle jumps up to about 2 grand.

BTW, the truck has a fuel injected inline 300 with an E40D (I believe) tranny.

Thank you in advance for you suggestions

Tony

sounds a lil like a vac deal. my '91 (same engine & trans ) did the same thing. i found a vac cluster near the firewall on the passenger side (black plastic fitting w/ 3 or 4 lines) with 1 bad vac line end. i cut off the bad, reattached it & wow....brand new puppy. i'm a believer, chk vac lines 1st. its easy & 50
5 chance of being the issue. eliminate the easy stuff 1st. good luck & let us know

Check computer codes, always the first diagnostic step. You can use the search function for "computer codes" and learn how to extract them from the computer.
