hypertech programer what????

how do theseguys advertise the great horsepower gains without an egt problem? you can even tow on all the horspower setting to vehicle tow limit?? hell im scared to tow on the 40hp setting on the predator but you can easly tow on the 90hp setting with the hypertech>>> is this true like they advertise and if so how are they doing it? twice the hp of the predator tow setting and still safe.

I can't answer the how, but I have been running one for nearly a year and I keep mine on the 100 hp setting. I have pulled car trailers (Mustang), 4 horse trailers full of furniture/boxes, u-hauls, etc all on the 100 hp setting. I never exceded 1100* even pulling through the mountains of NC. I typically run anywhere from 65 to 80 pulling with no problems. The only time I turn it down to the 70 hp setting is when I pull my 14,000 lb 5er. Going through the mountains of PA, there were several climbs that I had to lift to keep the egts below 1200 (my limit). The Hypertech may not perform as well as some of the other tuners, but I have never put anything else on my truck, so I really don't have any data. There is a world of difference between stock and the 100 hp tune though. I have pulled away from a new Cummins which puts down 80 more HP than mine, so it seems about right.
