No problem-
I just installed a 6" Revtek lift in my 2000 CC lariat longbed PSD and put a set of 37x12.50x 17 BFG Mud terrains on Extreme Alloys 1079's, the only thing I had to do was shim the front bumper 3/4's of an inch.In my opinion the 37's look great but now I want to go up more and put some 39's or even 40's on her(My wife sees this and she'll shoot me! she has a tough enough time gertting in as it is!) but you shoul'nt have a prob.
getnbz, what brand of grill insert do you have. And BTW, nice truck, how do you like your BDS lift, having one put on my truck next week. Only difference in my truck and yours is the color and mine is a CC. I will be running the same lift, and wheels, but running Swamper SSR 35x14.50x16 tires.
The backspacing on your wheels is the biggest concern here. You can get 37's as long as the backspacing is correct. You will have the shim the bumper or cut a little off the lower corner. I just added a draw-tite front receiver to add the space and some functionality.
Check the manufacturer though. Some say max on 6" is 36's, some you can get away with 37's. It really depends on how you want to drive it. If you want to wheel hard, stick with 35's. If it's a DD and you only off-road occassionally and lightly, 37's will be okay.
chips,
i have a stull grille insert and the lift is nice i wished i would have went with a different shock than BDS. thnx for the complement on the truck.
getnbz, thanks for the reply. I see the Stull listed quite a bit on ebay, but didn't know what the quality was. Sorry to hear about the BDS shocks, guess I will live and learn. What exactly don't yo like about them?
i dont off road very much and it seems to me they are rough responding on the road a little smoother ride. i also heard that they dont last very long. its alot of money but i think im going to resevoir shocks for a smoother ride either edelbrock or bilsteins.
