I purchased a Flex-a-lite dual unit for my 05 5.4L. Don't remember the exact model, but the tech support at Flex-a-lite can tell you what unit will fit yur app.
When I purchased mine he said they have only tried it on the 03 models, but he felt that it would work on the 04 and 05 models as well. Guess what he was right. It bolted up very nicely with zero modifications. The biggest problem you will have is finding a switched 12v power on.
Better late than never, hope this helps. If you need details I will dig a bit more.
I used the same 12v on as the AC clutch compressor relay does. There is a relay box under the hood on the driver side fender. I tapped into the wire as it exits underneath the relay box. If you look in you owners manual there is a diagram describing what relay does. I don't recall the color seems like it was red and yellow.
I have been through a lot over the pat six months, Flex-a-lite electric fans, JBA headers, Magnaflow hi flow cats, Banks cat back, Volant cold air intake, Hughes torque converter, TransGo shift kit, Motive Gear 4.56 gears, Nitrous express setup, FJO wide band AFR, Auto Meter fuel and nitrous gauges, and finally a custom tune. What's next head work and a set of cams once comp releases the 3V version.
I have expierenced the ups and downs and finally have got it all together. Primary problem is finding a reliable source that knows what is compatible with the 04-05 models.
