My A/C Compressor/Clutch makes a rumbling noise when activated. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, could it be the clutch or compressor, when the engine speed is increased the noise goes away the comes back when slowed down. I'm guessing replace the clutch first then see.
Is the clutch pressed on to the compressor? Or just unbolt? Looks to be 4 small bolts around the edges then a center bolt.
Thanks Bob

I was reading through these posts and saw your message - The original AC clutch was larger than the aftermarket part due to the fact that there was a vibration dampener as part of the original. Go to a wrecking yard and see if you can find an old one - you need it or else the new clutch will vibrate itself into some bad bearings and a pile of junk. I don't know why they just don't sell the dampening system with the clutch.
