tranny flush...

anyway to do this myslef...kind of depresseing when I asked the local shop how much.....and also how hard is it to change the filter when your under there?

It's really very easy if you have any mechanical ability. Just follow the directions on the link in last post. I did mine and was able to use synthetic fluid and still paid lesss than having it done. Just make sure you clamp the hose to transmission return line very tightly. Mine wasn't tight enough and when I ran it through the gears the pressure caused the fluid to leak everywhere and made quite a mess on the driveway. Also, really pay attention to how much fluid you have pumped out and don't go over the 18 quarts or whatever it is. It would be easy to pump out too much and then you would find yourself short.
