V10 SWAP POSSIBLE
I WAS WONDERING IF A V10 WOULD WORK IN A 73-79, IF A CONVERSION IS FAIRLY STRAIGHT FORWARD OR NOT WORTH IT. I AM WANTING TO EITHER REBUILD MY 400 OR GO WITH A V10. KARKRAFT HACE NEW V10'S FOR $3600. THAT SEEMS REASONABLE, I ESPECIALLY LIKE THAT ITS EFI AND WITH CHIPS CAN BE UPGRADED EASILY. I WILL HAVE A PICKUP CAMPER ON BACK AND OCCASIONALLY PULL A 16FT CAR TRAILER. THANKS CHUCK

Well anything is possible. But it wont be straight forward. It would be light years easier to do your 400. For instance, its doubtfull that the trans, torque converter,flyweel, will line up. The oil pan is differant, and may or may not clear the subframe. Wiring harness, electric fuel pump, powersteering,will all have to be added or changed to accept the engine. etc,,,etc,,,etc,,,,

You may be headed into waters nobody has tried before but that dosen't meen it can't be done if its what you want take measurements and go from there
