"little Taledega" maybe, the Dirt track.
I went to one of those Paved ovals. It was in south Alabama somewhere by Fort ***** Rucka.
Pretty boreing.
Lot's of money involved in those cars though.
god i wish i could go! i just got into nascar this summer and it would be so cool to go to a race! oh well, i watch what i can on the tv! but i dont think ill be able to watch this sunday which makes me mad, i wanted to see junior win it!
I watched the bumper car races today, 188 laps with 175 commercials and a bunch of wrecks that really hurt some of the good drivers in the chase. It was good to see Dale J. win again though.
Dono
I won't be wasting any more sunday afternoons watching superspeedway races until NASCAR can figure out how to change the areo package to slow the cars down and engines so they don't have to have restrictor plates. that way, they can drive away from each other and not run in a big pack all together for laps on end and people can go oooh ahhh that's racing . I will still continue to watch the short tracks and intermediate tracks, though
Not to hijack this thread anymore than it already has been but have any of you been to the Novemeber race in Phoenix? We're going this year. Any hints or tips?
Go 88!!!! Dega and Dayton are all about smart driving and saving your equipment. If those guys wanna beat and bang like they're driving bumper cars so be it, the smart (and lucky) will survive!!
What is happening with Kurt Busch. 3 races ago he was 5th, now he's 10th. Greg Biffle is not doing that good either. It looks like Newman, Johnson or Wallace will be champ at the end.
Johnson doesn't have his magic shocks anymore IMO, he's by far the most annoying driver on the circuit. Too bad Sadler didn't get into him a little bit.
I'm with cjben, plate racing bites. Talladega and Daytona either need to have their banks torn down, or take them off the circuit. Heck, even run the road coarse at Daytona, that would be neat. Talledaga's pavement looks worse than a PA highway.
The 12, 17, and 20 seem to be the teams that are on a roll. Yeah, Kenseth went into the wall at Dover, but the car was strong before his tire blew. If the 12 and 20 have some problems, I wouldn't be surprised if the 17 takes the cup. There are also a ton of 1.5 milers coming up, Biffle could rebound.
JMHO, but NASCAR needs more tracks like Bristol , Also I think they should throw in a road course in the chase(the RC at Daytona would do) And also to really test the Drivers how about a couple of DIRT Tracks in the season !
