I am in desperate need of a driver's side running board, the metal work on my truck is complete except fot the mods on the l/h board. My on line ads have produced nothing and getting one repro is not an option. Hoping someone can help me out, still want to go to K'ville!!!!!!!!!!11
fatfenders56- I contacted the guys at Memory Lane junk yard. They told me they a few original running boards in the yard that are actually in pretty good shape. They have a few to pick from. They quoted me $75.00 each. Ask for Fernando if your interested. I could stop by later next week and check out what they got. Let me know. Ed.
Here's the website. http://www.oldautoparts.com
Memory Lane is checking for me, hopefully the freight isn't more $ than the board. The ones on Ebay are at $235 and haven't met the reserve yet. Thanx guys
located a MINT used r/b this weekend. Cost me a buck and a half, but the thing is absolutely perfect, except for the yellow paint is looks brand new, thanks for your posts and e-mails, I have already started cutting it up!
I saw a set in Hemmings this issue. You can look it up on line. Good luck, Jag
PS: A little off base: But I saw a set in a mag this month that had aluminum treadbright on them. It dawned on me that that the treadbright could be used on top of running boards that had cosmetic flaws. It would look especially cool if the bed was also covered it the shiney aluminum. Just a thought.

Fatfenders 56- Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Memory Lane. They've always been really good to me. Sorry it didn't work out for ya. I gave it my best shot.
Yo, Ed. I appreciate your help anyway, sometimes it just doesn't work out. I have everything I need now, I got about as perfect a board as you can expect. If not for the yellow paint it would look like NOS and if you figure in freight etc from Ca I probably saved a few $.
I know you appreciate my help, and I'd do the same for anyone in here. It's not a big deal, but I'm upset over the service you got from Memory Lane. These guys know me well and I do a lot of business and referrals with them. I even called them on the phone and mentioned your name. They should of at least responded by email and let you know what's up. I guess they get enough business locally and don't care about out of state and shipping items. You probably got a better board then what they could get anyways, so it worked out good. That's what counts. Post some pics of the board when you get a chance. (my boards and truck were canary yellow before LOL)

That same thought occured to me as my running boards are fine on the outside but rotted completely through in the middle and I was thinking that could be easiley covered with some treadbright!
