How to remove rub on paint?

I had my Bronco completley repainted dark red and black a few months back(in my gallery under new paint you can see it ). Anyways, I was doing some 4x4 and hit a few bushes. If you look at my paint it almost looks like someone keyed it down the whole side, but the paint is not scratched. I hit some bushes on each side. What can I use to rub it out? I tryed some wax with no luck.

If wax did not work, I would try Polishing compound next. If Polishing compound does not work, the next step would be to try Rubbing compound.

Your paint is clear coated, so be carefull and experiment in a small inconspicuous area first before going all-out.

Remember, you must reverse the process to get back to a shine. In other words, if it took Rubbing compound to get the scratch out, you must follow with Polishing compound, and then a good wax. Follow all the directions on the product labels, and proceed cautiously.

I am afraid of rubbing compound. I have screwed paint up with that before by leaving swirls everywhere. I think I will just live with it.

If the paint is that new you might want to wait for a bit anyway. Id wait til the spring then go over it with buffing compound from 3m. I did my truck this summer, turned out great. You can get a small buffer from home depot for $30. It is not for doing a big job but it works great for what you want to do. With the buffing compound it is pretty hard to mess up. The buffer is not going that fast. High speed is what causes most probblems in buffing, the heat it makes. Erv
