I keep my Headlights on Auto so they can go on and off as they please and i dont have to worry about turning them off, but my question is there anyway to change when they turn on? In the morning, it likes to turn on and off very frequently and i want to make it stay on all the time. Even when i go into a shadowed area they would turn on in the middle of the day. Is there anything i can do to make them erither stay on all the time, or to change the settings?
My auto headlight sensor on my '04 PSD X is in the middle front near the windshield on my dash. Some guys just put tape or something less noticeable over the sensor so that all of your lights are on when the truck is on. I'm sure that you could partially cover it so it is on more before it is fully daylight, but this might make it worse for you. I put my hat over it when I want the lights to stay on after they want to shut off. Like on an overcast day or when there is fog or something. I also did the DRL relay (daytime driving light mod) so that only my headlights are always on at 80%, and 100% (all lights on) in the auto mode. I leave it in auto mode with the fog lights on and use the fog light indicator to let me know when all of my lights are on. This works best for me and extends the life of all the other bulbs, and you don't need to ever touch the headlight switch (same as taping over the sensor).
