Looking for some lift sugestions for the 05 X. I'm thinking of a lift range of 3-6 inches. Probably going to do something over the winter. What system is everyone running?
thanks.
I don't have an X, but I do have a F-350. I just ordered a BDS lift, and the shop I ordered from has a 05 X that they just put a 6" BDS lift on, with 35" BFG's and it looks sharp. I was going to go with a Superlift untill I started talking to the shop, they carry several different lifts, and they talked me into getting the BDS. In there opinion it was a better lift with a better warrenty, actually the warrenty is a lifetime no questions asked. Don't know if that is any help or not, but just what I have seen.
A spring hanger lift will give the best ride. I just sold my '00 Ex V-10 with the Donahoe Racing 3" spring hanger kit w/ Bilsteins. I will be installing the Donahoe Racing 7" all spring kit w/ Bilsteins this weekend on my new '00 Ex PSD. They are more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
I also have an '05 X with 23K miles on it now, doin' all sortsa stuff.
I lifted it 4" and dramatiacally improved the ride with bilsteins, better tires, and most important, radius rods.
Sfter a year of towing boats and planes, off-roading and taking the family here and there etc. I would do exactly the same thing again. Except I would have got rid of the garbage stock tires before I left the dealer lot.
