Oil pressure sending unit
Hi,
I have a 93 XLT SuperCab with the 4.0L V-6. The oil pressure gauge hardly registers. Other than going to a Ford dealer for a new unit, do any of you know where to get another sending unit? Thanks for your help.

You can probably get one at NAPA or most larger auto stores. The Ranger sender is more like an on/off type sender. It does not read actual oil pressure PSI signals. If the sender sees a few pounds it sends the gauge to the middle until it sees no oil pressure. It is a good indication at start up that there is some pressure, but should not be confused with a real gauge that reads high or low corresponding to actual oil pressure.
