the other day i got my tires rotated and balanced on my ford and now it shakes worse than before. i changed the front shocks thinking that they were shot but it still shakes. am i over looking anything. the front leaf springs were replaced about 4 years ago also.
Take it back to the folks that did the work. Explain that the shaking is worse than _before_ they worked on it, and that you're concerned about vehicle safety. At the very least, they should check their work over again. A good manager will be more than happy to recheck it. After all, it sounds like a GREAT opportunity for future sales! *grin* Whether motivated by profit, or by concern for your safety, any good shop will listen to you and check the problem.
Is this a 1 ton, or 3/4 ton?
The 1 ton is a solid front axle that has a short bar that goes from the passenger side fram to the engine cross memeber that may need to have the bushing chnaged.
The 3/4 ton and half tons all have the independent front suspension and thus have a whole world of issue sthat can be causing grief....
Eitehr way, I call that shaking teh "Dodge Death Rattle" as in my experience it is a common occurance.
