fuel problem

fuel problem

I have a 95 f150 the front tanks pump quit so i put in a knew one. i can hear the pump turn on however the truck will not start while it is switched to that tank. If I switch to that tank while it is running the truck with die.
please help

i take it you have gas in the front tank, did you fuel pressure test it on the fuel rail when you primed the pump, to see if you are getting close to 40psi of pressure. also when you turn motor off does it hold pressure. if you don't have a tester, this could take a while to diagnose, it will be so much quicker if you buy one.

you may have to reset inherita switch, don't quote me on that, i think it is under driverside kick panel.

The inertia switch controls both tanks, since it runs on one tank that won't be it.

It sounds like you're not getting pressure. Check all the connections and make sure they're good. I hope you're not leaking fuel.

When you put the tank back up, you pinched the line. Drop it a bit and see if you can locate where it got pinched and reposition it.
Its been done a few times before
