tilt column

has anyone installed the 73-79 tilt column from Bronco Graveyard in a 67-72. I emailed the guy and he said " It will not fit in your truck". I am pretty sure columns up to 79 will fit, just have to figure out the wiring. My truck does have P/S. Is this guy wrong or what?

John, The tilt was available in 78 & 79 in Larait (sp) trim Bronco & F series pickups. If you have the Ford/Saganaw power steering gear (73-79) installed in your truck, it will fit.

The diameter of the column is slightly larger than the cutout at the bottom of the 67 through 77 dashes, but it basically fits.

It's true that the brackets on the dash are different, but the part welded to the bottom of the column is the same.

column will fit, no problem, as long as you have the saginaw (later) style gearbox. Wiring is a little different(color codes) Not hard to figure. Install a new rag joint when you make the swap
