Today i de programmed my truck and put the original program back in...and i disconnected the batteries for 10 minutes...Re connected the batteries and went for a cruise...I noticed the truck ran powerful, smooth and the MPG indicator said 19.8.....after letting it sit for a few hours i went for another ride and lost the power, smoothness and MPH went down to 13.8...Is there something wrong???..or is this normal....

please help!!!
Right after a reflash, the Keep alive memory is erased....the self adaptive calibration adjustments haven't had time to totally complete, and stuff can be very erratic (especially when going back to stock) after a reflash. If you want good evidence of this, flash the truck back to stock when it is bone cold, and watch the tailpipe....it will smoke like a frieght train for a little while.
Give it a few days driving and report back. I don't see where that would be too out of the ordinary. Also, keep in mind that aftermarket tunes are often far more efficient than Ford's calibrations. IMO the best thing for it is to take it out on the highway and beat on the throttle for about an hour.
PSD 60l FX4...took the truck for a ride last night....stomped the pedal for awhile like you said....wow...not the same power i had when i first bought the truck...My dealer told me they updated the flash in the computer 2 times to the lastest calibration...lost alot of torque..anyway after playing and beating on the throttle.i shut it off and then re-started it and went for a normal cruise. The best mph was 10.2 around town....it has a strong deisel smell while idling....it seems to load up at idle...What determines the amount of fuel being delivered..Is it the computer or is there a sensor that tells the computer what to do......also it still smokes terribly if i stop on a hill....Ford can't find this problem!!!..and a squelling noise from the turbo above 3000 rpms
