Ok I am gonna pick chevy because there plastic looks thicker. But ford is improving since the days of the Aerostar. This goes for any competion of ford. Any opions appreciate. fordguy101
IMHO, GMs seems to look the nicest but it also seems to have the most rattles!!! This is just what I've experienced. I'm not saying mine is perfect but its head up over the GMs I've driven with more than 30k on them. The few dodges I have been in as of lately seem to have came along way in this regaurd. It's actually been quite supprising how tight they seem to stay even after 40 or 50k miles.
I was sitting in the rear seat. Then I put my arm on the door and heard it. I tried putting some weight on it that didn't help. I don't know why the door is doing that. fordguy101
My wife has an 02 Chevy TrailBlazer. The plastic looks extremely cheap. Might just be the texture they chose but I hate it. The dash in my 97 looks much better and it didn't rattle until I replaced the heater core and somehow ended up w/ some extra screws
It's a sad day when we are comparing quality of crap! My 05 F150 is entirely all cheap thin plastic, I sure do miss vehicles that had metal in them and quality materials.
Now I like my truck, it's still all plastic, irregardless. But not much choice I suppose.
My departed wife's 92 Dodge Caravan was cheap all the way through and rattled all the time.
My 97 F150 Lariat with over 150k miles now is rattle free. Only noise I hear is the cd cases rattling in the door pockets.
I'll say I'm satisfied with fords overall quality with there plastic. The German cars are by far the most superior quality when it comes to plastics and interior quality.
I'll take a prior Honda Accord over most newer German cars. My '99 had plenty of plastic in it, like all new cars, but at least it semed to be higher quality than the norm, and the car really was built like a Rolex. Our Grand Marquis has the famous plastic "creak/snap/pop" from the dash when you go over bumps. They've been building this car forever, and still haven't addressed that.
The Ford 500/Freestyle has one of the nicest interiors I've seen recently in a domestic car, BTW. The new Impala's right behind it- huge improvement over the prior models.
Well I will put out a controversial one and say that few (if any) American vehicles make the grade in terms of interior quality.
The 500/Freestyle is one of the few exceptions, and even that isn't crash hot.
Interior quality has never seemed to be a big part of the American market, and as such their respective manufacturers have never been overly concerned with it.
Admittedly it hasn't played a big part in the Australian market either, our quality isn't that much ahead of yours.

Well I personally will take an Audi A8...
The later Mercs are pretty average (I think thye peaked with the last model E-Class), and BMW has never been that great. VW's made in Germany are pretty darn good though, and I happened to check out a Bently Continental GT.
WOW.
The interior managed to combine Bently's traditional oppulence with Audi's quality. I was mightly impressed (even for THAT price).
