Has anyone used a JL audio stealth box for a superduty. I was looking at the down pointing one that replaces the front middle seat. I just put some infinity kappa 6.07 cs in this weekend and now I need some bass for fill.
i know there pretty Expensive, havent heard it, but i just picked up a Q-logic box that creates a rear center console, and places the sub inside to fire downward. I have it for my supercab and just put in a Rockford P3, sounds excellent, and you wouldnt even nkow there was a subwoofer there.
Too rich for my blood.......but I'm sure it will sound great.
I have a 2 sets of 5x7 JL's that are over 5yrs old and get abused on a regular basis, still sound good as new.
Make friends with someone at a car audio shop. I had a friend who was a sales guy for a local car audio shop and you wouldn't believe the stuff they have piled up in the back. Returns, scratch and dent and/or discontinued models for pennies on the dollar.
I got my current sub box for my 2002 F150 supercab from an installer friend for half the regular cost.
I was actually torn between the JL Stealth box and the Q-Logic box. The only reason I went with the Q-Logic was the price was more in my range. The JL box looks awesome though. I went to my local shop and saw one down there, very cool setup. And for anyone that might sit in that center seat, hang on to your guts! If you have the money to do it, get it!
I have the center seat stealthbox in my 99 f250. It is a great idea. I don't remember how much I paid for it though. I will warn you that the sub that used to come in it (W0 4 ohm I think) wasn't very good. I burned up 2 of them in about 2 years. Since then I have replaced it with an Image Dynamics sub and have been very pleased.

That's wierd, I had two 8" W0 JL subs for about three years and sold them to a friend and he's still using them. No problems with them, even when they were overpowered.
I think that they might have replaced the sub with the newer W3 model now though, so you might not have the same troubles I was having. Also if you regularly have people ride on the center seat you might not want to go this way. The seat has about 1/2" of padding on it that is tolerable for short trips, but for any long trips nobody will want to sit there.
