Running uncorked?
I just installed a set of headers on my 289 (sanderson shorties). I have to drive the truck about 3-5 miles to the muffler shop. Will driving it uncorked, that far damage anything in the engine?

I'm doing mine just no muffler. Straight from the engine to the rear bumper. No law here that says you have to have mufflers. Bikes do it all of the time. The only inspection when we had them was that the vehicles exhaust must be intact and exit the passenger compartment of the said vehicle. Sound wild.
