Good to see 'fenders on here. I am also at about 2", not sure about degrees. I am about ready to install dropped spindles on the Volare stuff, and remove two rear leaves in the rear. I need it to be lower yet. I have not drug anything yet, must be too high. Hey 'fenders, we would like to hear any commentary you might have regarding the situation over there. At least I would. Hey Novatattoo nice truck and great stance! Looking at your nice new glass and wondering what "color" they call that? Is that what they consider or call "smoked" glass or is that a darker variant? Appreciate any info - thanks!

bills truck is low! Its hard to imagine driving it after seeing it in person. As far as rake, I like the stance on that barret jackson truck....

"barret jackson truck...." Now thats funny! At least the boys from Summit seemed to like it.

OilLeaks, Yes sides and rear are smoked. Front is green. All came from Hot Rods F100 parts here in Ohio.

The look that the owner likes is the proper look. I like to see a slight rake. Measured per Imlowr2's suggestion, my front measurement is 28 1/2 and the back is 30 1/2. (Tires play a part in the look also, my fronts are P235/75/15, rears are P265/75/15) I think my truck would look better a little lower but it is as low as I am comfortable with for all around serious driving and relative ease is getting a floor jack under it. (This is MY comfort level, no judgement of anyone elses ride height-if it is where YOU like it, it is right) Imlowr'2's measure points in my opinion are a good reference point.

Since I purchased the new rims and tires, I went with a slightly smaller tire than I had before for the fronts. Now the front is much lower because of the tires. I like the look of the front, however the back end is slightly higher. I think the key measurement here is 2" of rake. I'm a little over that in the rear. I'm running 4 leafs in the rear right now, I may opt to remove one more giving me 3 and hopefully drop me another 1/2 to 3/4". That would be pretty good. I think most of the guys running level are on airbags too.

I don't have airbags but will have to "C' notch the frame come winter time. Just not enough travel back there. I have 5 leafs w every other removed. Reversed eyes and all spring hangers flipped. But thats a whole nother topic. :-)

Just build'em the way ya lik'em

Nova, I never heard of flipping the hangers? What does that do and how does it lower the truck?

This is on a 52. When reversing the eyes, they tell you that you may have to notch the front hanger or flip it. This is to keep the spring from hitting the hanger.

Well when I was over at my friends I was looking under his 56. On the rear of the 56 the leaf spring swings above the the rear hanger. On my 52 it was underneath the rear hanger. So I decided to cut the rivets and have my rear hanger work the same way they do on a 56. I would say this changed the rear leaf spring location up 7"(maybe more). Which would lower the truck. There is no interference with the bed floor. So far it seems to work fine. My axle is apprx. 2.5 from the frame rail now. Which is the reason it will get the notch.

I'm not sure the total amount of drop. I did all of it at the same time. Hope this makes sense.
