Heater core replacement...easy
I've done the heater core replacement twice. First time was not so easy, but this time I found some good advice here on the forum and spent less than one hour replacing it.
This is it, in short:
-Remove lower part of dash/glove dptm (5-6 scr, one multi-wire-connect)
-Remove interior trim on passenger side right (1 scr, 1 plastic retainer)
-Remove heater core plastic-cover inside, passenger side(5 scr)
-Un-clip heater core clip-fastener on upper left of core
-...and BREAK LOOSE the core from the inside. (fairly easy as the metal is soft)
-Pull heater hoses and broken tubes through the firewall in the engine dpt
-Detatch "quick-fit" hose connectors and clean them. If they break, get some hose clamps and cut off QF from hoses.
-Put the new core in place from the inside, clip in place, install cover.
-Quick fit the "Quick Fits" or clamp hose clamps...
-Top up coolant by the correct procedure
-ENJOY!
