By the bottom shaft, do you mean the shaft that the pitman arm is on? How do you know it came down 1/8"? Does the truck steer ok?

The only way the Sector Shaft can move down is if the Sector Shaft Adjusting Screw broke or the ears that hold the Adjusting Screw broke off from the Sector Shaft. This would not cause a leak if it moved down only an 1/8 inch. I would look for a crack in the housing.

This is what we are talking about, right?

Are you talking about 7 or 9.
I do not know of any "O" ring in the botom, it has seals in the bottom but no "O" ring.
Is the Retaining Ring (snap ring) out?

number 7 the shaft where the pittman arm hooks to, is leaking fluid, and looks like it a bout an 1/8 down from the housing.
thanks
