Fan under hood?

My 89 has a fan thats kicks on and runs for 5-10 minutes after i turn key off is that normal never had this type of fan in my trucks whatdoes it do

A lot of the older vehicles equipped with electric fans had power to them even with the ignition off. It is probably normal for it to run after you shut the engine, until the thermostat tells it to shut off.
