[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Jul-02 AT 11:12 PM (EST)]hi i have a question for you i have a 1979 ford F-150 with a C6 Tranny and a full time transfer case and i was wondering i got stuck in a snow bank last year and my rear tires were spining but the none of the front were dose that mean the T-case is no good ansd it dosent work in reverse??? but when i was stuck the front drive shaft was not spinning at all...

need opinion
CK the trans fer case linkage.
Do you have hubs?
Are they locking in?
Are the gears in the front end any good?
Broken axle shaftin the front end?
1979 F350,4x4,NP435,5:13 gears,Detroit locker in rear with hardened shafts,ABR in the front,360 with 428 crank & rods,390 HP heads,Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch,MSD Ignition,39.5x18 Boggers,bucket seats out of a Lightning,& a Southern Body that is perfect.
1997 F350 PowerStroke 4X4,36 Inch Super Swampers, Strait Piped, Chiped, Propane Injected, LUK Clutch

jack your truck up and put both axles on jackstands with enough daylight under the tires to safely put yor vehicle in gear without anything touching the ground----------have a friend put your 4x range selector thru 4low , 4 hi , neutral , and observe the results>>>>if you have posi units in either axle both tires on that axle should turn together!!!!if you have posi units and they are not working they may need a new clutch pack installed and some additive along with new gear oil...............You can make your system a part-timer with a set of hubs from MileMarker or the other company that I can't think of their name-----You probably have an np203 xfer case if you have full time 4x drive!!!fd
