I attended a car show, and tractor pull in Roxboro, N.C. today. At the tractor pull, they asked for PSD, Duramax, and Cummins owner volunteers to try pulling the sled. They has one of each, a 6.0L PSD placed first with a full pull, the Cummins came in 2nd, and the Duramax came in last.....Just thought all of you 6.0L owners would like to hear about this!!
When the 6.0 came out? They had a pull using a sled at one of our local county fairs (Stockton) and the dealers provide one each of the big three, the results were the same: Ford 1st, Dodge 2nd, and the Chevy last...but it blew out the front diff I believe although I wasn't close enough to see exactly it might have been the trans I heard both from those closer to the action; but anyway it made a loud bang and the front end fell to the ground...secretly I thought it was awesome.

My friend had it on video but you know that story...I asked for it about10 months ago and he had taped over it on his honeymoon...of all things...geez...well I hope it was worth it...anyway it was the talk of all those who saw it for a while...I'm sure someone else here around saw it. I heard they do it every year but I cant attest to the results...you know it probably changes from year to year...who wins and who looses.
Called the guy I know...heard that one before...I work with who was there but closer because they had a stock tractor competing said it was something in the front end since all the trucks were 4wd and running in4wd. He thought it was the front diff and whatever happened took out the whole IFS on one side. He didn't like it; all he has are Chevys so its kind of a sore subject; ie: it could happen to anyone-just bad luck.
