Question Heated seats

05 EC DRW 6.0 lariat, Seat heater comes on after you are sitting in them for a few minutes, not all the time but every 3-4 days it will do this, anyone else have this happing to them, have been watching to make sure we aren't bumping them getting in, a little bit later you start warming up, 85 outside temp and 75 inside.

I have noticed on my 04 that they come on from time to time also. I figured out that if you lean over in the seat or shift position just right that the side of the seat will hit the swithch and turn it on. This has happened more on the passengers side than on my side.

Leave the door open some time, sit in the seat and take a look at how close the seat comes to the switch. IMHO they should have moved the swithes somewhere else.

My seats come on occasionally also, both sides. I did realize that the bottom of my pants leg hits the button and those buttons are very sensitive. and as Toyman said those seats get very close to the button. A good bump in the road can make it touch.

I agree with Taz and Toy,
I'm sure I have just barely brushed the button and it turns on. And I'll be darn if my bottom can get real toasty on a 95 degree day with that heater baking.
