Changing Mirrors

I want to know how hard it would be to swap out the huge ugly swing mirrors on the 91 F250 I bought just recently with a new pair such as the two towards the bottom.

The mirrors on my truck look just like the ones on this truck:

I want to swap them out for these kind:

Or These:

Any information would be helpful.

well i dont think it would be hard to do the top ones, you'd just have some extra holes in your doors, but the bottom picture, im sure those have a couple of holes, youd just have to look at one of the same vintage and see how there mounted.

The three mirrors you pictures have different mounting points, so pick whichever one you like the best, drill and cut the holes for it, then weld up the old holes on your original swing-aways.

If the holes aren't rusty, you probably could get away with a little marine filler. I believe the holes are 1/4"?

I like the second choice, which is factory on my crewcab. If you bump the mirror, they "pop" and turn out of the way, thus preventing huge dents in the door if you accidentially clip the mirror.

Very convenient when trying to shove a full size crewcab in your garage, and try to squeeze past.
