69 Hubcaps

I am curious - I have a 69 4x4 f250 factory highboy with 16.5" rims. It looks like these wheels once had hubcaps on them(scratch marks) Is this so and where can I find some. This truck is bone stock except for dual exhaust and a PTO and I am trying to restore to off the showroom condition.

Thanks for all of those who responded to my question about a camper. It rides fine

Dennis Carpenter has them but they are like $75 each. They have an open center. Log on and just do a search under 67-72 trucks for hub caps. Oh sorry you have 16.5 rims. Let me do another search.

Nope no luck. They only have them for 15 inch. Sorry for the mis-information.

When these trucks were more current hub caps were available from after market companies such as JC Whitney, may still be availble from one of them.

Are you looking for the "dog-dish" 12" hub-caps in aluminum? They have the Ford crown insignia in the middle with the black dashes around that. They're the ones on my '69 F250. They fit on the bumps of the rim of 16.5's. I have 4 extra, but they're not showroom. The black needs touch up. Let me know.

Sorry, I forgot you have 4x hubs. These have no cutouts, they fit over the center of the wheel and are 3 1/2" deep (slightly less at the center). These are a 1-piece design and are very standard, but I never see them in catalogs. I do see them all the time in pics in the galleries. Maybe your hubs were originally on another truck that had hub-caps. How far out do your hubs protrude? I'm not really familiar with the 4x axle, all my trucks have been 2 wheel drive.

Tahoe Bill: Check out www.denniscarpenter.com in the 73 to 79 Trucks section. Do a search for hubcaps. There are some 4WD Hubcaps there that might fit what you are looking for. I know you want 69s but these may work for you.

Thanks Knight I think my hubs stick out farther, besides, I don't want to think of popping them on and off every time I go in and out of 4x.

I will check that site out, I am hoping to get lucky and find a set of 69's

I have tried that Dennis Carpenter link and it takes to a domain registration page. Any other links maybe?
