power steering pump

what is envolved in changing the powering steering pump on a 78 ford F-150 4x4? it has the stock pump and setup. its making noise and the bottom line has been rubbing on the fuel line and is about to leak or blow or something. i have a rebuilt one im going to swap in while i put in a new radiator and water pump. this is the first time for me doing any of this, except for changing the radiator. i think i can handle that. if anyone has any tips on changing either it would be appreciated. is there any bleeding envolved in the power steering?

Install a filter in your PS system while you are at it. Check out the Power Steering thread in the garage and workshop forum.

When you change out the pump follow the proceedure in your Chilton or Haynes manual, it's simple.

The P/S pump swap out is simple, IF it has a pulley installed on it, most likley it does not in which case you will need access to a expensive pulley remover and installer.
