Help!
My 2005 SD has about 1500 (fifteen hundred) miles on it and the speedometer is acting up: regardless of speed it's indicating 60 miles an hour, unless the truck is idling and then it indicates 18 mph.
Is it in some kind of diagnostic mode?
What can I do to fixt or test it??

That's what Polarbear said in a PM as well.
Since it's under 2K miles, I'm glad it'll be covered by warranty. Just hope they can get 'er done before the weekend. As the drive to NM from OR will be a challenge without a working speedo.
Perhaps I should check out the spedometer/tire size/tachometer charts mentioned in other threads!?!
