lighting problems

hello i have 2 problems on my 73 the front lights wont come and the signal lights wont signal but they will come on also i bought the signal cam off ebay but i couldnt figure out how you take off the steering wheel can anyone help or should i just go to the yard a pull a new steering column mine is in pretty bad shape

at least can someone tell me how to remove the steering wheel took the nut off but it still seem to be being held by something

Steering wheel puller, these are usually a tight fit I have busted pullers trying to remove that wheel. The lights are a tough one to explain could be dimmer switch or dash switch either one, the 73's were bad about the dimmer not getting ground because of the rust under the switch in the floor boards. As for the signals sounds like a bad blinker ?

I'd start by replacing the battery cables. Get the ground cable with the 10 gauge pigtail. Then use said pigtail to ground the body, the best spot is right AT the voltage regulator. This will ensure a good ground for the lighting system as well. Then move on to other things.
