Starting project

i figured i would let everyone know that i am currently starting to build my 73 f25o. I will be swaping in my dana 60 front, crossover steering, putting my lift that i built on and will be rebuilding my 390 and plan on running 44's. i hope to have it done to run it once this year before the snow hits. I'm sure i will have some questions along the way and i hope you guys will be able to help.

Well guys i have a question already, i am taking the front spring off for my front lift and i have a question about the easiest way to get them off. They have 5 rivots holding them to the bottom of the frame, would it be easier to cut the top of the rivots off and pound them out or do you guys know of an easier way.

the FASTEST way is to melt all the heads with an oxy torch then go back and hammer'em out with a punch. i have used this method and i think it's quicker (once you get eveything setup) than unbolting it.

grinding the heads off is the same thing just takes 3x's as long

Diddo on the tourch, but if not grind an x in the rivet then useing a sledge and big punch chisel the head off then puch them through.

The fastest and easiest way to get rid of those rivets is the ol blue wrench and an air hammer. Makes real fast work of those pesky buggers.
