Turn signal problem

i do not know what to try and fix next. I changed the fuse and the flashers there turn signals or 4 ways and the lights on the dash do not light up. Ocasionally the right signal indicator light on the dash comes on but will go out on it's own. anyone hear of anything like this or is the bronco possessed. It is a 78 bronco with a 351M

Usually bad grounds. Check out the article on turn signal diagnostics here.

Welcome! Torque1st has the right idea. Best bet is to check the grounding of the dashboard signal lamps. Unfortunately none of my books go back any further than 1980. Otherwise I could possibly give you a location for the ground. A wiring diagram from a Haynes manual could prove helpful in this situation. As a general rule, ground wires are black or black with a colored stripe. But don't assume, check a diagram.
