About three months ago my 01 f-150 began starting hard when cold. The engine turns over several times before firing and starting, I hear the fuel pump "click" when I turn and hold the key on. I started with the easy fix changing the plugs and wires, this did nothing. I then changed the fuel filter and this too did not help. After taking the my truck to a garage I have since had the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator changed, both of which have yielded no results.
Could this be a pressure issue with fuel lines or gas cap? I have exhausted all of my knowledge on this issue and am very frustrated at how expensive this problem has become. Please Help!!
