Tail light dosnt work

On the drivers side. I just got my truck back from being painted. I pulled off the driverside tail and the wires were all connected. I have tail light covers so its a pain to take them off but dose the drivers taillight feed from the passenger side. Only the passengers side light works, what could it be??
Thanks

I assume the bulbs have been checked first, but anyway, the harness is routed along the drivers side framerail and tucks up to the left tail light (drivers) then routes to the right side (pass). If you have lights on the right, I would start by pulling the left light, and check the individual sockets by probing the contacts with a test light or volt meter-set to DC, be sure you have the lights on. You should show 12 volts, if not, disconnect the clip on the socket harness and again probe the contacts coming from the main harness, if you show power there, then you have a bad socket harness. Being that you have power to the right side, I'm sure you will find your problem within those couple of things.
