junkyard console missing part(s)
I just bought a bucket seat and center console to replace the worn out split-bench in my '94 Explorer. I think the kid that removed it from the salvaged vehicle forgot to give me whatever connects the hinged armrest to the console. Can anyone tell or show me what piece i'm missing?

Yeah it was probably broken. It was in 94 when Ford came out with the fix - a steel reinforced bracket. Not all 94's got them unless it broke and was replaced under warranty. The original one was all plastic. Mine broke the first year, 93, replace with plastic one, broke again in 94, replaced with steel one and has been there ever since. You can go to Ford and get it. I've seen some on eBay here and there. I'm just guessing here but maybe $50 from Ford.

Thanks for the website. I found the parts I needed, they are the aluminum and plastic brackets that attach to the floor. Looks like I have some carpet cutting and drilling ahead of me.
