hey there all. i am thinking about doing a shackle reversal on my 78 f-250 in the rear. i am wondering if there is anyway to get the front up about as much as the back will come up. i already have a 4 inch superlift lift kit on it with the new springs all around. im looking for a little more clearance in the wheel wells and trying to keep it level. i will be running 36 inch tsl's on it soon. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
There are a couple folks on this forum that drive similiar vehicles as you. They'll chime in and give you the answers you need. Thankfully, you've got a vehicle that is well supported in here and you'll find that all the info you need on more height is easily aquired.
thanks for the info i have seen alot about fliping the rear shakles but not much about the front. anybody got any pictures or anything i could go off. thickness of steel plating. i was thinking about just building a box mount for the front shackles and cutting some new ones out of 1/4 inch plate steel with a support gusset in between them does that sound like the right way to do it. and if i do is it going to mess up the caster or camber in any way.
Well you still need to buy the pivot drop brackets, but it would still be cheaper than buying new springs, but on those truck a set of 4" springs is benefical.
