Nutcase, verses "dependable car"
here are a few example before the latest
The dog scratches on the door, are a manufacturers paint defect (89 Sonoma, couldn't hardly sell smelled so much like dogs)
76 Malibu, rust was a "known defect" on that year. Rain washed only!
Had me do a tuneup on his 85 Skylark, stopped me and had me come into work. Had someone else finish it, that never worked on cars, and they inverted the rotor. I don't know how they got the cap on.
Gave his stepson his last vehicle, after driving at least 10,000 miles between oil changes and never waxing it. Wondered why the engine blew two days after he gave it to him.
All right, he had a "mid life crisis" about two years ago. He had always wanted a Ford Falcon Futura convertible. I found one locally, the guy had converted it basically. New engine, Mustang II suspension, power brakes, power steering. He had built it to look like the old, and be as dependable/drivable as the new. My boss, didn't buy it. won't even go there.
One day he was driving by a house and spotted a 92 Saab convertible, he went and paid cash $8,000. He doesn't drive it, as he claims it's not dependable. When he goes to start it, it won't (around 7 month increments) when he has driven it. He will leave stuff on and wonder why the battery is down. I could go on, but the more I think to type this, the more I lose my train of thought from frustration.
Some people shouldn't have cars.

Thanks for letting me blow off some steam
