oil pressure problems302 v8
i have a 1991 f150 4x4 thats been giving me some problems of late...the other day i made a drive about an hour out and upon arriving there i noticed a drop in oil pressure and my engine was sounding like a diesel truck. i couldnt accelerate properly above like 35mph..anything after that the "nocking"sound got louder. af first i suspected a bad oil pump but im not sure. this morning i got up and started it and had normal oil pressure and engine now sounds almost like a bad lifter..just a barely noticeable ticking sound. but i took a short like 5 min drive to see if everything was alright and again the oil pressure droped again. could this just be a bad oil pump? and this ticking how can i fix that? ive heard of a fiew un expensive ways of making it go away

sounds like the oil pump is going out, and your not getting any oil upstaris. that would cause a ticking sound like you are talking about. not sure what to do about the ticking, but think I would check into that pump. gl
