The calipers are actually a breeze to get off. I think it was just two bolts holding it on. The goofy part is they have a clip that rides under the brake pads and it is a bit tricky to get back in. Not mentally difficult just takes some finesse. As far as brand names for brake pads...I just went with the best grade they had at the auto parts store. The hard part for me was getting the rotors off....never did get it figured out.

I made the mistake of buying semi-metallic mid grade from Autozone-they squeeled like a pig. I reinstalled 3 times with glue and grease and everything else. I eventually went back and traded up to the highest grade they had-best extra $30 I ever spent. Stops better and no noise. About $65 per axle I think from Autozone. As for rotors, don't buy japanese and don't go cheap-I tried that too. Warped within a month. I ended up with bendix rotors from Advance Auto-they ordered them out overnight, about $100 each made in Canada and much heavier than Jap Junk.

BFH!!!! LOL
Calipers will come off easy. Rotors will probably be rusted to hub. Remove calibers and caliper brackets and beat the crxx out of the rotors. Great way to release that stress!

Pretty much what he said. Went to AutoZone first; everything in stock said "Made in China". Got out of there and went to Advance Auto; they carry Raybestos fronts and Bendix rears. Went with those and haven't had any problems.
