Blew out my 3sp
Blew out my tranny the other night going home. Now i want to switch it out. I have a '79 F-100. I want a 4 speed. The guy at the junkyard says they can only match up a driveshaft and a "3 speed with an overdrive borg-warner" with my year. Is this the T-18B he's talking about or as my repair manuel callse it the "4-speed overdrive?" I really need to know soon becasue i'm supposed to move friday and i need a new tranny. I want it to be an easy swap with the shifter on teh floor so i can do it myself as i already paid 650 to get my engine seals all replaced and a new OP installed.
