I just got a 6" ProComp lift put on by the dealer and some 35" Nittos. When I got the truck back, it looked a tad low in the back. I measured and sure enough, the front of the running board is about 1" higher than the back. Also, the gap between tire and wheel well is about 1.5 (larger in front). Anyone know if the dealer just installed it wrong? Can something be adjusted? I didn't realize that the dealer had not installed a lift in a F150 until he had my truck for a day (It took him 2 to install it). He has done lifts for 250s...said this one was more complicated.
Also, With the 35x12.5x18 Nitto tires, I get 9.6 in the city. I was getting 13.5 before. Sound like a big drop to you guys?
Ben,
I had a similar situation with the CST lift. Everytime I looked at the truck it drove me crazy. I ended up installing 1" larger rear blocks now to me it looks perfect. (check my gallery) When I see trucks with the ProComp I see the same thing. It bothers some and other folks like that pre-runner look.
you may want to recalibrate the speedo for the tires, that will help your tranyn shift better, and your mileage readings will be accurate, then your mpg readings will be accurate. right now your truck thinks its traveling less miles than it really is due to the bigger shoes
if your pro comp has ajustable coil overs you can lower the front 1", if you have front spacers a bigger block or add a rearleaf, as for mpg, you will need 4.56 gears to help improve mileage and a tuner wont hurt.
